The carrier plate is an adaptor that runs between the guide shafts. It connects to the mould stamper, which it holds in place to ensure vertical movement only. The inner arm links connect the carrier plate to the inner arm handles to translate the angular movement to vertical movement when compacting concrete products.
 
The carrier plate is an extreme over-design of strength. This is because it is the first point of contact for a vibrator motor kit and can take a lot of force from various connecting components at once. This item has a low rate of wear; the most common first issue is when the cap screw securing the carrier plate to the guide shaft is loose, it can wear away and strip the threading in the carrier bush tapped hole. If this happens, it is very difficult to secure the carrier plate to the guide shaft.
