Other Brick-Making Machine Prototypes
History Lesson
Since the early days, when Doubell General Store transformed into a brick-making machine manufacturer in 1981, prototyping has been the staple methodology employed for the formation of brick-making solutions.
Not all machine solutions were great. It was a delicate balance between production capacity, material strength, fulcrum placement for leverage, human operation comfort levels, manufacturability itself, and mechanistic action.
Ultimately, the battleground was the brickyard. And the customers voted with their orders.
Here is an assortment of photos showing prototypes, limited solutions and custom orders from the historical archive
To this day, we still manufacture custom machinery to suit brick-centric applications.
There are several research folders for new creative solutions on the shelf; and two have been re-opened for investigation. Adaptability comes through innovation.
