Tami Scripps

I was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I enjoyed my school career, which gave me a passion for stage acting. After enjoying several successful productions, I chose to study film and film and media at the University of Cape Town. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree and pursued an on-camera career path. At the same time, I discovered a penchant for voice acting and landed many radio advert voiceovers. My skills in video editing and videography expanded, as well as my schedule for modelling work.

To foster my video editing skillset, I started a business with my brother called Skybok. We created profiles for over 100 venues from Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London and Durban. They were published to YouTube on behalf of the owners and used as advertising as needed. Several profiles were also of businesses and private commissions for internal corporate videos.

In 2010 I became a finalist for Top Model UK and travelled to London. My future husband, who I had already met, flew to attend the competition. This changed my life direction and I began a journey that took me to Texas, USA, to see what might happen.

In 2011 I became a finalist for Top Billing as a new presenter. Although unsuccessful after a several weeks on the reality show, I felt motivated enough not to give up. To this end, I travelled to New York to attend the New York Film Academy for several months where I gained industry insight and training.

I was married several years after and currently live in Austin, Texas, where I established Skybok USA for short-form production. I still love editing video for social media and meet interesting people in my travels.

​

For humanitarian contribution, I joined Rotary in Austin, Texas; and have since earned a Paul Harris recognition award for my contribution.
